Be an Encourager

The joy of the Lord is your strength. I pray that you are experiencing true joy in Jesus. It has finally begun to feel like fall, leaves have started to change colors, frost has killed the top leaves of my three large angel trumpet plants in my back yard, and the mornings are almost too cool to exercise (for some). With the time changing this week, it will cause sunset to come earlier. While some people don’t like this season, others are enjoying it immensely.

Know What Time It Is

It was early April, and I was headed west on US 83 along the Rio Grande River in Texas. I was scheduled to attend the national Registrar’s convention in Dallas but had flown down early to spend a few days birding the lower Rio Grande Valley (between Laredo and Brownsville). I was using the town of McAllen as my base, and that is where I had rented the car at the airport the night before. On this particular day I wanted to be just south of Falcon Dam (about halfway to Laredo) by 8:00 a.m.

Messiah Sing Along

The Chattanooga First Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomes the Christmas season with a sing-a-long performance of the Christmas portion of George Frederic Handel’s timeless oratorio Messiah.

How Much Water

The recommended amount of water needed daily is simple to remember. Divide your body weight in half, and drink that amount of water in ounces. For example, if your weight is 120 pounds, then you should drink approximately 60 ounces of water each day. Another suggestion is to always drink water when you are thirsty.

I Never Did Like Green Beans

It takes effort to avoid doing His work. It isn’t hard to smile at a fearful child in a hallway. Nor is it difficult to say an encouraging word to those you meet wherever it is you meet people. If the Lord is in your heart, you’ll find Him popping out in things you say and things you do all the time.
